Loss in mixed martial arts is different than almost any other sport.

Sometimes you hit out. Other times, you take out, judges do not see it in your own way, or are submitted.

The latter happened to Jalin Turner on Saturday night on the UFC 313 main card and did not waste time to decide to get away from the sport.

Turner came out shots in the first minute of his expected collision with Ignacio Bahamondes before a body conflict led to a cease.

Turner landed at the top and tried aggressively to land elbows.

Bahamonds didn’t just defend the strikes well. Eventually the Turner lock in a triangle of drowning to win the race by submission. Here is a look at the finish that also won bahamondes a show of the night bonus.

After the official decision was read, you could hear Turner say in the show, “This is for me”, as Bahamondes congratulates his performance. Bahamondes and others tried to talk to Turner from it, but he seemed to have made his decision.

As he left the octagon, journalist MMA John Morgan spoke to Turner, who confirmed what we could hear about his conversation at the Octagon.

During an interview with Aaron Bronteter of Sportsnet, Turner confirmed that he would retire again.

During the post-UFC 313, UFC President Dana White said that someone had spoken by Turner from his retirement, but this information did not do it in stores, so it is not clear if that was the case.

Turner is only 29 years old, but he is definitely in a hard patch. The loss for Bahamondes was his second defeat in the series and his fourth in his last five battles.

Turner’s record is now 14-9.

Would it be a shock to see him reverse the course and return to the octagonal? However, if he has thought about it for almost a year, his heart may not be in it. And this is a dangerous place to be in a sporting race.

Bahamondes is heading in the opposite direction. Victory should land it on top 15 next week and it was Reportedly calling the veteran Renato Moicano during the Passer after the race. This race would be a reasonable next step for the Bahamondes as it climbs the 155 -pound staircase. Don’t be surprised if it is favored to win this match – if signed.

Here’s a look at all results from UFC 313.
