Google photos improve face navigation
Google is testing a small but important update on Google photos that changes how to identify face recognition in mobile app. This new Google Photos feature, first discovered in a report by the application researcher Fitting for Android principleIt makes it easy to see who has found Google in your photos without the need for additional taps and swipes to find this information.
The report finds an up -to -date interface, hidden in the code 7.26 of the Google Photos Android app, which places a new range of detects as thumbnails at the bottom of the screen every time a photo is displayed.
The new thumbnails do not have name labels, so I suspect you need to take advantage of them individually to see more information about each detected person. As is the case, the feature does not provide additional information beyond the fact that Google Photos has found these people in your image.

The function is not yet alive, so we do not know exactly how Google will use it. Google could use the thumbnails to accelerate the finding more photos of the selected person or perhaps for a different purpose, such as choosing people to edit. We have to wait and see.
As it is, the new range of facial thumbnails occupies a display space often used by other interface elements, such as buttons displayed when you have to choose an individual image from a tube. Google should decide which checks show you based on the frame and the type of image you see right now.
Larger thumbnails and name labels remain available as facial groups in the “People” section of the Information Tile (see below).
Google Photos – What are face groups?
Google Photos uses face recognition technology to automatically gather photos of recognized people or pets Face groups. This makes it easy for you to look for a particular person or for Google Photos to create the popular “memories” of highlights based on the people we know best.
You can see which Google Photos has found in the photo you are currently seeing, carrying up to reveal a “People” section below. You can edit people’s names here by clicking on “Editing Faces”.
Detecting faces are only visible to you and do not share with others when you share your photos.
