The event at Khorovod in Tarkov has finally started properly.
A new event called Khorovod has started Escape from Tarkov alongside the new wipe, and once again requires you to complete certain tasks across multiple maps that will eventually give you some fixed rewards.
The new Khorovod event was launched as part of the latest Escape from Tarkov wipe, where the patch notes added a lot of cool new features. But at the top of the patch notes was some information about the brand new event, which will probably keep you occupied for the next few days now that the early fun has started to wear off a bit.
After keeping things locked down for the first few days of the wipe, the Khorovod event is now (almost) fully operational. The event comes with a new mode, a quest bar, and a status effect capable of reducing what you can see to almost nothing, and more are likely to follow as the event is just getting started.
But like many of the big events Tarkovthere is a lot of new information to learn and not a lot of great resources to learn it from. So here is all the information you will need to complete the Khorovod event Escape from Tarkov.
Escape from Tarkov Khorovod Event Quests
The event in Khorovod Escape from Tarkov has added nine new missions that we currently know about. Some unlock as soon as you boot up Tarkov for the first time this sweep, while others take a bit of work to unlock. Some are quite simple and just require you to find items related to the event in normal Tarkov mode, while others require you to switch to Khorovod game mode.
Christmas Dinner
Christmas Dinner is a quest Escape from Tarkov brought to you by Prapor. It forces you to find specific foods around you Tarkov and delivering them to Prapor. However, many of the items required have increased spawn rates as they appear around the Christmas trees and presents found all around the themed maps, making this task a lot easier than it looks on paper.
You will need to find and deliver five Salty Dog beef sausages, five cans of green peas, five jars of DevilDog mayo, one bottle of Tarkovskaya vodka, one bottle of Dan Jackiel whiskey and three jars of pickles.
Smile
Cheer Up is a simple quest Escape from Tarkov brought to you by Prapor. All you need to do is build the Christmas tree in your hideout to complete the mission, which can be done by finding one of each colored bauble around Tarkov. These spawn almost everywhere, though especially around the Christmas tree, so this is probably the easiest quest to complete.
Cold
Chilly is a quest Tarkov given to you by Jaeger, but is something that is seemingly impossible to complete right now. It requires you to kill 10 targets while suffering from the Frostbite effect, however it doesn’t seem possible to get the Frostbite effect in a PvP raid at the moment, making it impossible to complete this mission without further additions to the game.
Hide in Image
Hide in Plain Sight is a quest Tarkov given to you by Ragman, who tasks you with finding the Christmas trees and markets hidden around Tarkov. You can find them at the Customs House near the Smuggler’s Boat Extract, at the Lighthouse at the Supermarket near the Water Treatment, at the Reserve at the Helipad between the Barracks, at the Interchange at the front of the Mall’s main entrance, at Shoreline near the West Wing of health resort and in the Woods at the sawmill.
Holidays beyond the means
Holiday Beyond the Means is a mission given to you Tarkov by Skier who tasks you with killing 10 PMC agents while dressed as Ded Moroz or Santa Claus. To do this, you need to wear a Santa Claus or Ded Moroz hat, a fake white beard, and kill PMCs while dressed that way. Easy.
This Is My Party / The Price of Celebration
These two missions are optional, where you can complete one or the other. Both ask you to kill 10 PMC operatives, but how you do it depends on the mission you complete. To complete This Is My Party, you will need to kill 10 PMCs not wearing the Kohorvod Armband in the Khorovod Mode while you are wearing the Khorovod Armband you are given. To complete The Price of Celebration, you must kill 10 PMCs in normal raids while not wearing Khorovod’s Armband.
Enough drinks for him
Enough Drinks for That One is a quest Tarkov given to you by Ragman which requires you to kill Killa and 10 scavs with event face masks in the Interchange between 10pm-10am. Since the boss is currently at 5%, it will take a while to do.
Khorovod (Quest)
The quest in Khorovod Escape from Tarkov given to you by Parpor and requires you to reach the Interchange in the Khorovod game mode. You can read how to do this below.
Escape from Tarkov Khorovod game mode
Khorovod game mode is in Escape from Tarkov very similar to the Marathon mode that was added at the beginning of the last sweep. You can access it by selecting the function in the upper right corner of the map selection screen.
When in Khorovod mode, you will start in Shoreline and need to proceed to Lighthouse, Reserve, Woods, Customs and Interchange to complete the mission related to the mode. You can only advance to the next map after you have activated and defended the Christmas tree in each map and you must complete all maps in one life.
When you get to a map you will need to find the Christmas tree on the map and activate it using special 40 degree fuel, this will start a five minute countdown where you have to defend the tree from being blown up. After the timer runs out, you can go to the next map to do the same thing there.
Effect of frostbite on Escape from Tarkov
The phenomenon of frostbite in Escape from Tarkov apparently added to the patch notes for update 0.16.0.0 and required to complete the Chilly mission. However, at the time of writing there doesn’t seem to be a way to get the Frostbite effect at a normal level Tarkov raid, and therefore no way to complete the mission.
