Looking for help with today’s Wordle? Look no further. A wealth of hints, tips and other useful items await, not to mention a bonus Custom Wordle and more.

I’m exhausted from a day of travel, so let’s cut to the chase and solve today’s Wordle!

Looking for Monday’s Wordle? See our guide here.

Today’s Bonus Custom Wordle

Now that we can create our own custom Wordles, I’m including a bonus Wordle with each daily Wordle guide. These can be 4 to 7 letters. Hopefully this is a fun extra challenge. Click the link below to play the Wordle I hand made for you.

Today’s bonus Custom Wordle it is 6 letters.

The hint: A must for going on vacation.

The indication: This Wordle begins and ends with consonants.

Yesterday’s Wordle custom answer: HOLIDAY

How to play Wordle

Wordle is a daily word puzzle game where your goal is to guess a hidden five-letter word in six tries or less. After each guess, the game gives feedback to help you get closer to the answer:

  • Green: The letter is in the word and in the correct place.
  • Yellow: The letter is in the word, but in the wrong place.
  • Gray: The letter is not in the word at all.

Use these clues to limit your guesswork. Every day brings a new word and everyone around the world tries to solve the same puzzle. Some Wordlers also play Competitive Wordle against friends, family, the Wordle Bot, or even me, your humble storyteller. See the rules for Competitive Wordle towards the end of this post.

Today’s Wordle Tips and Answers

  • Wordle Bot’s original word: SHALE
  • My opening word today: STORY (24 words left)
  • The hint: Tasty and often spicy.
  • The Clue: This Wordle has a double letter.

Well, spoilers below! The answer is coming!

Bot Wordle Analysis

Every day I check the Wordle Bot to help analyze my guessing game. You can check your Wordle score with Wordle Bot right here.

STORY just popped into my head and I think it’s the first time I’ve used it as an opener. Luckily for me, it was a pretty good initial guess, leaving me with only 24 words and two green boxes. I must have had some left over from yesterday’s initial guess, FLAME, because I used it for my second guess today. While I didn’t gain any new letters, I was left with only two words I could think of: CURRY and HURRY. Of course, I went with who I would rather be. Or, well, be inside me. CARY for the win!

Competitive Wordle Score

Wordle Bot

I get 1 point for guessing three and 1 for beating the Bot. Bot gets 0 for guessing on four and -1 for losing to me. Our new June sets are:

Eric: 19 points

Wordle Bot: 7 points

How to play Competitive Wordle

  • Guessing at 1 is worth 3 points. Guessing in 2 is worth 2 points. Guessing in 3 is worth 1 point. Guessing on 4 is worth 0 points. Guessing in 5 is -1 points. Guessing 6 is -2 marks and missing the Wordle is -3 marks.
  • If you beat your opponent you get 1 point. If you tie, you get 0 points. And if you lose to your opponent, you get -1 point. Add it to get your score. Keep a daily running score or just play for a new score every day.
  • Fridays are 2XP, meaning you double your points — positive or negative.
  • You can keep a running tally or just play day by day. Enjoy!

Today’s Wordle etymology

“Curry” comes from Tamil Karimeaning ‘sauce’, ‘relish’ or ‘spice dish’. Portuguese traders in South India adopted the word as cariland entered English in the 16th–17th centuries as a general term for a variety of South Asian dishes cooked with spices and sauce.
