Horiguchi had his moments. He tagged Cape on a couple of occasions and even secured three sacks.
Cape never panicked. He bided his time and landed a nasty right counter that rocked Horiguchi and led to the stoppage.
This time, referee Herb Dean got it right.
Cape stopped Horiguchi through third round TKO at 2:42finally erasing the 2017 RIZIN submission that was the last stop loss on his record. The win pushes him to 23-7 and makes him the top contender in the division. He’s next in line once Van resumes his title fight with former champion Pantoja.
