The first Tuesday of June is on us and I obviously brought the rain with me from Scotland. It’s very wonderful, in fact. There is never enough rain in these high mountains of the desert. I will take every drop I can get, like our poor, dry forests. The rain also means more time to spend indoors puzzles! Let’s solve today’s wordle, we?

Analytical analysis

Every day I check Wordle Bot to help analyze my game. You can check your Wordles with Wordle Bot here.

I almost guessed the elder as my starting guess today because I was writing about Elden Ring, but then I didn’t like to use two e so I came with a different word that had some similar letters: which was shared. This left me with just 36 words, but I chose to try all the new letters for my second guess, choir. There were two options left: Vapid or Admin. I chose the last one because I was 99% sure Vapid was already Wordle. Fortunately for me, I was right!

Competitive Wordle Score

The bot and I continue on the days of negotiation. I win, then it wins, then I win. Today I get 1 point to guess at three and 1 point to beat the bot. The bot gets 0 to guess four and -1 to lose to me. The sets of our June are:

Erik: 3 points

Wordle bot: 0 points

How to play competitive wordle

  • The guess in 1 is worth 3 points. The guess in 2 is worth 2 points. The guess at 3 is worth 1 point. The guess in 4 is worth 0 points. The guess in 5 is -1 degrees. The guess in 6 is -2 degrees and missing Wordle is -3 degrees.
  • If you beat your opponent, you get 1 point. If you connect, you get 0 points. And if you lose to your opponent, you get -1 point. Add it to get your score. Keep a daily score or just play for a new score every day.
  • Fridays are 2xp, which means you double your points – positive or negative.
  • You can keep a run or just play everyday. Enjoy!

Today’s Wordle Etymology

“Admin” is a shrinking of the “administrator”, which comes from the medieval Latin administrator (“someone who manages”), based on Latin administration (“to manage, to follow”), an advertising association (“to”) + vinistrare (“to serve”).
