It’s not yet Sunday enough, but the New York Times releases Sunday’s crossword puzzles on Saturday afternoon, so we’re here. It is a mini -sized crossword that we must solve today, but not without its most difficult words. Let’s take a crack in it, we?

NYT MINI is a smaller, faster, more digestible version of NYT’s largest and most provocative crosswords and, unlike its older brother, is free to play with the New York Times without subscription. You can play it online or in the application, although you will need the app to deal with the file.

Spoilers in front!

Today’s mini -crossword

Screen Show: Erik Kain

I wasn’t sure about the 1-ACross, so I skipped ahead and hit some more obvious such as 5-down (SAD) and 4-Down (bob) and then completed 2 and 3 down and 8 in all, which essentially left me with 1 down and a few letters missing from a couple beyond words. As soon as I connect them, the puzzle was done. Easy parcel! That got me 1:02.

How did you do it? Let me know Twitter; Instagram or Facebook.

If you also play Wordle, I write drivers for that too. You can find these and all the TV guides, my reviews and much more here on my blog. Thanks for reading!
