Wondering what a poker player’s gift is? Not sure what Jason is starring in Dune? Don’t worry, because I’m here to help you with the answers for today’s NYT Mini crossword.
The NYT Mini is a quick and dirty version of the newspaper’s longest running crossword puzzle. Most days, there are three to five clues in each direction on a five-by-five grid, but the puzzles are sometimes larger, especially on Saturdays.
Unlike its older sibling, the NYT Mini the crossword puzzle is free to play at New York Times website or the NYT Games app. However, you will need a NYT Games subscription to access past puzzles in the archives.
So that you don’t get stuck and have to uncover missing letters, here are the NYT Mini Crossword answers for Tuesday, August 13 (spoilers ahead, of course):

He took me 0:48 to complete today’s NYT Mini.
MATS and TOLL were the only words I got on my first pass at the Across clues, also for the APPLY, TELL and HATH hints at the Down clues. I haven’t seen Dune but I should have at least figured out MOMOA on the first pass. I thought it was very clever to see HOPES literally go up the diagonal as soon as I finished the crossword.
