Today’s NYT strands imply and answer
Looking for Friday’s legs, spangram and answers? You can find them here:
The last weekend of April is already here and we are approaching half a sign for 2025. My time flies when you solve puzzles. Spring is in full bloom, or almost, and summer is fast. We have a few words to reveal, so let’s solve these legs!
Strand It’s the newest game in the New York Times fixed games. It’s a fun twist in classic word search games. Every day we are given a new subject and then tasked with revealing all the words in the grid that fits this issue, including a spangram that extends on two sides of the Board of Directors. One of these words is the spangle crossing from one side of the grid to another and reveals even more about the subject of the day.
Spoilers in front.

The collapse of today’s clones
I was sure this would be for makeup when I found makeup on the grid, though I wasn’t able to connect it to the spangram right away. I first found dust, and then primer and only then were I could add exams to makeup. This is smart. A “makeup test” is a test or quiz you repeat, but in this context it is simply to find words about makeup, such as the foundation, the bronzer and the concealer. I really found these easier than I thought I would like, despite the fact that they weren’t someone who used makeup (though I did it when I was in the theater!)
