Superstar most likely to face or heel turns in Berlin

It’s very likely we won’t see a huge return or debut at the WWE Bash in Berlin on Saturday, and there are only five matches scheduled.

Such a small lineup, mixed with no real platform for a major comeback, is the perfect situation for a huge turnaround that doesn’t involve bringing in new talent or reintroducing a Superstar coming back from injury or layoff.

There were some hints from WWE Smackdown, which aired live from Berlin on Friday. Here are the results from WWE Smackdown in Berlin on Friday, August 30:

• United States Open Championship Challenge: LA Knight defeats Ludwig Kaiser to remain
• Angel and Berto defeated Cruz and Corbin
• Andrade defeated Carmelo Hayes
• WWE Street Fight Women’s Championship: Nia Jax (c) defeated Michin

With current WWE storylines and the Bad Blood PLE coming up on October 5th in Atlanta, there are plenty of potential heel or face turns. It’s not crazy that at least one of these is happening in Berlin.

Here are five to watch out for.

Austin Theory

For well over a month, Theory has been the fall guy for Grayson Waller’s puppet, and we know WWE always had big plans for the former.

It may finally be time for Theory to get another push, and to do that, he’ll need to separate himself from Waller.

The two men briefly traded blows before seemingly smoothing over any tensions, but veteran WWE watchers know this guy.

These two will soon break up, with Theory likely turning face. It could happen in some kind of backstage at the Bash in Berlin.

Xavier Woods

The Final Testament has been working to pit Woods against Kofi Kingston, and each week seems like an inescapable moment. It’s a promising story because Woods has done such a good job on the mic in these situations.

They don’t seem to have a reason to be at the Bash in Berlin, but the possibility of Woods turning heel could be PLE-worthy.

Kofi Kingston

I know all the focus has been on a possible Woods turn, but the real twist would be Kofi Kingston and Odyssey Jones turning on Woods.

I’m dying to see Kofi get a legitimate shot as a heel, and if you’ve noticed, it looks like Kevin Owens went out of his way to say that the veteran is the only person he’s turned to that hasn’t been coming.

These seeds could be part of the plan to further paint Kofi as innocent, thus making his heel turn even more shocking.

If so, I’m here for it.

Kevin Owens

An Owens heel turn is a possibility. Selling this switch as a feature is pretty much the only way for WWE to sell any hype for his match against Cody Rhodes for the WWE Championship.

Owens has been one of the best in history when it comes to sticking a knife in someone’s back, and doing so in Rhodes could be epic – especially if it unexpectedly leads to a title change.

The latter is unlikely, but what if this turns out to be the biggest shock of this otherwise predictable PLE?

Jade Cargill

At some point we will see Jade Cargill vs. Bianca Belair. The two work as a tag team, but their failure to regain their titles at the Berlin Bash could fuel a breakup.

Let’s face it: Cargill is much better as a heel. She mastered her character in AEW while still developing her in-ring skills. She still works the latter, but her character isn’t at the levels she was in AEW.

WWE didn’t invest so much in her as a tag team product. Maybe Bash in Berlin is where he turns on Belair and starts a feud that spills over into Bad Blood.
