War of the Gray Zone it’s finally in early access, which means everyone can get the game for the first time. But, like many similar games, there are very few tutorials and it’s not always easy to figure out what to do.
From figuring out how to summon a helicopter to take you around the world to locating quest items and even finding loot, there are a lot of things I wish I knew before I first got involved War of the Gray Zone. Luckily, I spent hours figuring all this out while testing the streamer, so now you don’t have to when it comes to playing the full early access version.
How to call the helicopter War of the Gray Zone
The first mystery in War of the Gray Zone is how to call the helicopter and get out on the map War of the Gray Zone. It’s not immediately obvious, but all you have to do is open the full map and then click on the landing zone you want to jump to.
Whether you’re out in the field or back at base, just open the menu with the tab key and click on the landing zone you want to jump to. A small popup will then appear in the top right corner of the map, with a “Request Transfer” button. Tap it and a helicopter will head to the nearest landing zone to you, with a timer appearing on the map to show how long it will take to arrive. Interestingly, you don’t have to return to base when you’re out on the map, you can jump from different landing zones on the map without ever returning to your base.
How to accept and complete quests War of the Gray Zone
Another slightly confusing aspect of it War of the Gray Zone it is the way of accepting or completing a task. Tasks will appear in the Tasks section of the main menu, but you don’t accept or complete them here.
To accept a shipment, you will need to go to the vendor tab and click the jobs button next to the store option. If this supplier has a job for you, it will appear here and you can click the accept jobs buttons to start it. This is also the menu you’ll need to go to to complete tasks and deliver any items requested by the vendor. The tasks section of the menu is really only useful for keeping track of what quests you have active and what you need to do to complete them.
How to find Loot In War of the Gray Zone
Like many other export games War of the Gray Zone has loot that you can collect all over the world and either use yourself or sell for some profit, but finding the top tier loot isn’t exactly easy.
You’ll find loot scattered around the map and you can pick it up if you have room in your inventory with the interact button. However, the best loot is usually hidden behind locked doors, so don’t expect to find high-end weapons just on the street. It’s also worth noting that the cities that start where the first missions are, generally have low level loot and the further you go the better loot you’ll find.
How to kill other players in War of the Gray Zone
If you just jump in War of the Gray Zone you may be wondering where all the enemy players are, but fear not as they are not far away. During opening hours, your quests remain in your faction’s starting city, where players from other factions rarely go, but after completing these quests, you’ll go to areas where multiple factions have quests and find other players.
Of course, with the open world, there’s nothing stopping you from going straight to one of the starting cities for the other factions and killing all their players as they wait to fight the AI. Given the time it takes to get there and how many enemies you’ll encounter, it might not be the best idea, but you can go kill enemy players as soon as you start the game.
How to heal War of the Gray Zone
One where you start shooting other players War of the Gray Zone you should figure out how to heal after taking damage. You should make sure you bring some meds with you and then when you take damage you can either double click on the meds or select them from the quick menu attached to the key of four by default.
There are many different medications for different injuries Gray Belt War, ranging from painkillers to reducing the effect of pain to surgical kits to repair limbs that have deep injuries that turn the entire limb yellow. It’s probably not wise to medicate every possible injury in the world, so getting some bandages, gauze, and a CT scan to stop light to moderate bleeding, along with painkillers to stop the effects of the pain is usually good enough. You may also want to pull out a few blood packs to help revive any fallen teammates.
