The rings of power

Amazon has officially renewed the rings of power for a third season. These are good news if you are a fan of the series or a creator of content that covers the order. It’s a bad news if you are a fan of Tolkien who believes that the series is a stain in the middle -class legacy.

While I think the rings of power are a really terrible TV series, I have a lot of fun to write about it and make videos for my YouTube channel. While I think the show is an obvious depiction of the unstable and an amateur adaptation of Tolkien’s work, I enjoy discussing the many ways in which the rings of power fail in its duty. Don’t get me wrong: I would love to prefer that it was a great fantastic show that I could enjoy watching and writing, but I will get all the five seasons if Amazon will cover hundreds of millions to continue providing us with this unintentional Comedy (and I suspect they will do it, as it is largely a submerged cost at this point).

The PR email that came out to renew the demonstration is very interesting. She spends a lot of time talking about the three managers of the season 3, who are now returned to the United Kingdom. “In addition, we announce three directors, two returns and one new,” the statement said. “Charlotte Brändström, Sanaa Hamri; And Stefan Schwartz will be part of this season. The worldwide successful series, which has attracted more than 170 million spectators worldwide, is still one of Amazon’s strongest drivers for new prime registrations. “

Continues to describe all previous credits for these managers:

Brändström’s extensive directions include credits Shogun (FX), Scarpetta (Prime Video), The underdog (HBO), The witch (Netflix) and The man in the tall castle (Prime video). Hamri, a recognized director known for her work The wheel of time (Prime video) and Empire (Fox), brings extensive experience covering television, music videos and feature films, recently directing The bond (Prime video) pilot while continuing its creative relationship with Amazon MGM Studios through a comprehensive deal. Schwartz, whose credits include The boys (Prime video), The Walking Dead (AMC), Luther (BBC), and The Americans (FX), completes the talented directing team.

As you can see, all three worked in much better performances than it.

Then at the end of the announcement we have a small small line for showrunners: “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power It is produced by showrunners and executive producers JD Payne & Patrick McKay. They were united by executive producers Lindsey Weber, Justin Doble, Kate Hazell and executive producer-director Charlotte Brändström. Matthew Penry-Davey is a producer and ally O’Leary, Tim Kene and Andrew Lee are co-producers. ”

All three directors get portraits and bios to follow the press release, but that’s all we hear about the showrunners series. Strange and curiosity.

Amazon also revealed a jump for the third season:

“Jumping forward several years from the events of the season 2, season 3 takes place at the height of the Elves and Sauron war, as Dark Lord seeks to build one ring that will give him the advantage he needs to win the war and conquer the whole middle land at last.

This is very funny to me, because the show has been concentrated for many thousands of Tolkien Middle Earth for many years in a very short time, so I’m not sure the jump ahead “many years” really matters at this point. Time is essentially meaningless in a show that has already rejected the date, making it clearly use a fast -paced travel (which not only affects our sense of time but also geography, making the middle earth feel small).

I have very little belief that the season 3 will be better than the last two and I fully expect to see even lower numbers of viewers. The season 2 has already seen a huge fall from season 1 scores, and that almost certainly means we will see a further decline in season 3 and beyond if Amazon continues to renew this massive costly frustration.
