Wordle analysis

Every day I check the Wordle Bot to help analyze my guessing game. You can check your Wordles with Wordle Bot right here.

Can you solve today’s sentence?

A Wordle game of chance today for your humble storyteller. Things started out bad with SPATE, but I got my picks down to 5 with AVOID. My next guess was lucky: DOGMA for the win!

Competitive Wordle Score

I get 1 point for guessing three and another for beating the Bot who made four attempts today. 2 points for me! Huzzah!

How to play Competitive Wordle

  • Guessing at 1 is worth 3 points. Guessing in 2 is worth 2 points. Guessing in 3 is worth 1 point. Guessing on 4 is worth 0 points. Guessing in 5 is -1 points. Guessing 6 is -2 marks and missing the Wordle is -3 marks.
  • If you beat your opponent you get 1 point. If you tie, you get 0 points. And if you lose to your opponent, you get -1 point. Add it up to get your score. Keep a daily running score or just play for a new score every day.
  • Fridays are 2XP, which means you double your points — positive or negative.
  • You can keep a running tally or just play day by day. Enjoy!

Today’s Wordle etymology

The term doctrine comes from the Greek word doctrine (doctrine), meaning “what appears to one, opinion, belief.” It comes from the verb doc (δοκεῖν), meaning “seem, think, or suppose.” In classical Greek, doctrine it referred to a philosophical doctrine or edict.

The term was later adopted into Latin as doctrinemaintaining the sense of a fixed belief or authoritative decree, especially in religious or philosophical contexts. Over time, it entered English in the 16th century, where it came to mean a principle or set of principles defined by an authority as unquestionably true.
