Boots – Zayas

Credit: DAZN

The biggest, most exciting and most important fight in boxing at 154 pounds happens Saturday in Brooklyn at the Barclays Center. WBO and WBA champion Xander Zayas will defend his titles against Jaron “Boots” Ennis in a clash between two of the best fighters in the world. If you love boxing, you don’t want to miss it. Here’s everything you need to know. Let’s talk boxing.

Key facts at a glance

  • Main Event: Xander Zayas (23-0, 13 KOs) vs. Jaron “Boots” Ennis (35-0, 31 KOs)
  • Titles: WBO & WBA World Junior Middleweight (Zayas defends)
  • Date: Saturday, June 27, 2026
  • Venue: Barclays Center, Brooklyn, New York
  • Relay: DAZN pay-per-view ($74.99 US)
  • Master Card Start: 8:30 p.m. ET / 5:30 p.m. PT (ring walks approximately 10:45 p.m. ET)

What’s at stake in The Ennis Vs. Zayas Main Event?

In addition to the two world titles, a spot on the pound-for-pound list should go to the winner. Zayas is already the youngest unified champion in the sport. A win over a talent like Botch would validate him on another level.

For Boots, he’s one of the top talents in the sport, but he’s winless. A win over Zayas and the unified titles at 154 pounds would be that pinnacle win.

The 154-pound division is one of the deepest in boxing, and the winner is expected to move up against the likes of WBC champion Sebastian Fundora and Vergil Ortiz Jr. Ennis unified the welterweight division before moving up, while Zayas is a perfect 23-0. Ennis enters as the betting favorite, but Zayas possesses the size and edge and has vowed to drag the fight into the deep, physical rounds of the championship.

When and where is Ennis Vs. Zagias?

The Barclays Center has become a major boxing venue in recent years. Zayas-Boots could be added to the list of memorable clashes.

The fight falls on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, with the DAZN broadcast opening at 8:30 p.m. ET / 5:30 p.m. PT. Walk-ins to the main event are expected around 10:45 p.m. ET, though that depends on how the undercard plays out. Doors at Barclays usually open early in the evening for fans who attend in person.

What is Full Ennis Vs. Zayas match card?

The British light heavyweight sensation headlines the undercard.

That sensation is Ben Whittaker, the charismatic lightweight facing off against Richard Rivera. The main support is undefeated Emiliano Vargas vs. Bryce Mills at flyweight, with a pair of prospects filling the bill. Here is the full announcement of the card:

  • Xander Zayas vs. Jaron “Boots” Ennis (junior middleweight titles)
  • Emiliano Vargas vs. Bryce Mills (Ultralight)
  • Ben Whittaker vs. Richard Rivera (light heavyweight)
  • Jahi Tucker vs. Euri Cedeno (Middleweight)
  • Juan Manuel Lopez Jr. vs. Albert Motos (super flyweight)

How to watch Ennis Vs. Zagias?

This is pay-per-view, and as the concept goes, it’s worth it. It’s up to you to decide if it’s worth paying $74.99 because that’s what DAZN charges unless you’ve already purchased the Ultimate Tier membership.

The card is activated DAZN pay-per-view via the app on smart TVs, streaming devices, mobile and web, with the standalone price set at $74.99 in the US, Ultimate Tier subscribers bundle it into their schedule, the same arrangement DAZN has used for recent marquee pay-per-views. A package combining this card with next month’s Joshua event is also available for buyers who want both nights.
