Comet Lemmon: Best time to see
The best time to search for Comet Lemmon will be a 30 -minute window that will start about 90 minutes before East where you are. Comet Swan: Best time to see
The best time to look for the comet swan will be a 30 -minute window that will start about 90 minutes after the sunset where you are. For New York, the sunset is 6:17 pm Edt, so the ideal projection time will be 7: 47-8: 17 pm Edt (though you can start looking just before). The height of the comet above the horizon will vary depending on your location, but from New York, it will be about 17 degrees (about the width between the small finger and the length holder) and sinking.
