I often get confused about what day it is because everything blurs together and time is a flat circle. I started writing this post thinking it was Tuesday. Weekends mean very little to me since I work from home and work every day. I don’t work all day every day, but I do work every day and I often find myself working more on weekends than weekdays, which makes the weekend sometimes feel like a week and a Sunday like a Tuesday.
I have problems, okay. Time problems. But that is neither here nor there. The reality is that it is actually Sunday and a lovely, cold, wintery Sunday. It is the first Sunday of Advent. Christmas is coming.
Let’s make this Wordle!

Bot Wordle Analysis
After each Wordle I solve, I head on the Wordle Bot home page to see how my guessing game was.
Wild swing in luck today, although I’m going to pat myself on the back for pulling this one out in three, pulling off an excellent and bold second guess. My first guess-reign-was a reference to House Of The Dragon, The Game of Thrones prequel on HBO. The first trailer for season 2 just came out and I wanted to use a word that mentioned it. I could have gone with me royal (which would have gotten me at least a yellow ‘A’) but I chose reign. As in King Viserys I Targaryen, first of his name, long may he reign!
All the boxes were grayed out, unfortunately. I later found out I had 464 chances left. Ouch!
Well, I needed vowels so I picked a word with brand new letters (which are all pretty common) and two more vowels. At this point, I had a green ‘T’ but not a single vowel remained, meaning only ‘A’ and ‘Y’. I didn’t know it then, but I was left with only one choice. I reduced 464 picks in just 1 min scream.
After some brainstorming, I finally came up with the answer: adapt for the win! Huzzah!
Today’s Wordle Racing Score
I get 1 point for guessing at three and 0 points for tying the despicable, deplorable, sly, evil Wordle Bot. Huzzah for me!
Today’s Wordle etymology
The word “adapt” has its origin in Latin. It comes from the Latin verb “adaptare”, which is formed from “ad”, meaning “to” and “aptare”, meaning “to fit” or “to make suitable”. Thus, “adapt” basically means “to fit” or “to adapt to suit a particular purpose or situation.” Over time, this Latin term evolved into the English word “adapt,” retaining the essential meaning of adapting or changing to make it suitable for a particular context or environment.
