It was a chilly weekend, and hopefully warmer weather will see us through the week. It’s still fall and I’m not ready for winter yet. There is plenty of time for cold and gray and snow. Let’s get some of the white fluffy stuff at Christmas, how about? For now, I would like to solve all the word puzzles with cool autumn air. Speaking of which, let’s solve today’s NYT Mini Crossword!
NYT Mini is a smaller, faster, more digestible, bite-sized version of the larger and more challenging NYT crossword, and unlike its bigger sibling, it’s free to play without a New York Times subscription. You can play it on the web or in the app, though you’ll need the app to deal with the file.
A good tactic with crosswords is to try to get as many ACROSSes as possible first, then you’ll find that many of the BELOW ones have already been done — or vice versa if the ACROSS ones are harder.
While some of today’s words are quite simple, some may confuse you. You will find the answers below. Obviously, spoilers. Go ahead for today’s solved puzzle image.

Today’s Mini
This was the easiest mini crossword puzzle I’ve done in a hot minute, though that’s largely because the 1-Across and 1-Down were so obvious, especially if you were watching Only murders in the building. From here, most everything was either very simple or full of itself. I’m not really sure about the 5-Down, but I didn’t need to be after filling in everything else around it. This took me 1:19. I was slowed down when I accidentally switched from Across to Down and vice versa a few times.
