America has passed the point no return as far as Iran is concerned. of Iran. Otherwise, the US will look even more pathetic than it did after Joe Biden’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021. The result was Russia’s attack on Ukraine.

President Trump must face the stark truth that anything short of overthrowing the extremist government in Iran will be a devastating strategic defeat for the U.S. China will conclude that efforts to seize Taiwan will not be seriously resisted. Putin will conclude that the US will not allow Ukraine to stand up to Russia in the long run. South Korea and Japan will come to the conclusion that they should become nuclear powers. So will Germany and, perhaps, even Poland. Who knows what North Korea will be tempted to do. So are Saudi Arabia and Egypt. All this bodes ill for a peaceful, stable and prosperous world. Instead, we will have the kind of uncertainty that hung over Europe and led to two world wars.

Iran’s terrorist rulers will do everything they can to stay in power, no matter how much blood is spilled. Thousands of protesters have been killed. thousands more have been arrested and most will be executed if the mullahs retain power.

President Trump has repeatedly urged protesters to fight back, saying help is on the way. Countless citizens have risen up, facing arrest or death, expecting that the US would actually support their cause of overthrowing a despicable, tyrannical regime that, among its many sins, has murdered or maimed more than 1,000 Americans. The protesters know they cannot overthrow their bloodthirsty overlords without outside help. But on Wednesday the President said he had been told the regime had halted the executions, implying that US military action may now be off the table and negotiations could take place. There are reports that he told Tehran that he would not attack.

The president and his team cannot escape the truth that Iran’s rulers, despite their corruption, are fanatical revolutionaries who will never stop their activities as long as they are in power. They confuse their survival with the survival of Islam itself.

We made a big blunder after the US and Israel took down Iran’s nuclear facilities. Israel wanted to follow up by destroying Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the IRGC. This force, not Iran’s traditional military, keeps the regime in power. The IRGC and its acolytes are the ones gleefully slaughtering the protesters.

So what does the US need to do to make good on President Trump’s repeated promise that aid is on the way?

• Bomb IRGC bases. we know where they are.

• Bomb the headquarters of the Ministry of Intelligence to boost the morale of the dissenters.

• Bombard the infamous Evin prison with precision weapons. Kill the guards and their facilities, not the political prisoners.

• Bomb Kharg Island, the main terminal for Iran’s oil exports to China. At the same time, we should intercept oil tankers delivering Iranian oil. Without oil money, the regime will become helpless.

• Destroy Iran’s drone and missile factories and what remains of its nuclear program. Such an action would also help Ukraine, as Russia relies on Iranian drones.

• Engage in cyber attacks while working with the Israelis to strike Iran’s cyber assets.

• Reassure Iran’s traditional military that, apart from removing the war criminals, it will not be disbanded and therefore has no stake in maintaining the current gang of terrorists ruling the country.

Bloodthirsty mullahs will try to attack American bases. They will try to kill President Trump and others. We must move quickly. The time for half measures for Iran’s terrorist regime is over.
