August 15, 2025, marks four years of the Taliban regime after the fall of Kabul in 2021. Women and girls are subjected to what can be described only as apartheid of sex specified As “a system of governance, based on laws and/or policies, that requires systematic separation of women and men and can also systematically exclude women from public places and spheres.” Religious minorities, on the other hand, are subject to religious prosecution, with the stupidity facing genocidal atrocities. In this scene, Russia is officially recognized The Taliban as a legitimate government, and others, including China, want to do the same.

In the last four years they have seen a ritual The adoption by the Taliban, which led to the ban on women and girls from education, employment, positions of power, movement and almost any activities outside their homes. THE Law on promoting virtue and prevention of representative It was further added and confirmed these restrictions, effectively removing women and girls from society and mutes their voices.

To worsen the situation, the imposition of the provisions and laws was arbitrary, with the authorities exceeding the restrictive provisions, thereby adding the suffering of women and girls to the country. Among other things, in July 2025, the Shipment of UN Help to Afghanistan (UNAMA) referenced how in fact Monitoring the principles of adherence to women to the Hijab Directive appeared to be intensified in some parts of the country. UNAMA reported that “provincial in fact Departments to disseminate virtue and prevention of the Vice -President apply the stab Requirement in ways that are not clearly defined by law on the dissemination of virtue and the prevention of Vice -Presidents or other instructions issued by the De Facto Ministry. “This included reports of de facto spreading virtue and the prevention of vice presidents teaching clinics, shops, markets, government offices and taxi drivers to deny services to women who are not accompanied by one stab. UNAMA also said that “dozens of UN national officials have undergone clear death threats by people who have not been recognized in relation to their work with UNAMA and other organizations, UN chapters and programs, demanding that the UN implement temporary measures to protect their security”. A survey by the de facto interior ministry is said to be ongoing.

The situation of women and girls in the country is expected to worsen further. In August 2025, the UN Women, Care International and other partners published a gender alert amid a growth in repatriated in Afghanistan. Women and girls represent one -third of the Iran repatriated so far this year and about half of those coming from Pakistan. The gender alert raised the question that, like women and girls in Afghanistan, but also the repatriated, they face increased risk of poverty, early marriage, violence, exploitation and unprecedented restrictions on their rights, movements and freedoms. The repatriated vulnerable As they arrive with little protection and support. Often they would not have the “suitable” clothes or hijab to wear, no food, no contact number and relatives to stay together. Those who travel without stab – A male guardian – faces specific dangers. The UN also reported cases of blackmail, harassment and threats of violence in border crossings. However, as the UN warns, the real challenge is still ahead, as millions of others have to be returned to Afghanistan, adding about 22.9 million people – close to half of the population – that need humanitarian aid.

Four years of Taliban in power had a devastating effect on religious minorities in the country. Some of the smaller minorities were evacuated as the Taliban took over Afghanistan in August 2021, with some members going underground. Larger groups, unable to evacuate, such as FoulThey have undergone years of prosecution and are targeted by bombings and attacks on schools, hospitals and mosques of the Shiites, among others. While IS-KP took responsibility for most of them, the Taliban, such as in fact Authorities have failed to prevent such attacks and ensuring that those responsible faced justice. The serious danger facing the community is still unmistakable.

The four years of the Taliban regime have seen many more human rights violations that affect Afghan society as a whole. All of these violations have been reported by multiple sources, including United Nations organizations. However, Russia officially recognized the Taliban as a legal government. To do this, Russia had to remove the definition of the Taliban as a terrorist organization. China is looking to do the same. States must be warned that the recognition of Taliban despite the mere receipt of human rights standards, the separation and removal of women from society and the service of the prosecution of religious minorities cannot be accepted in the 21st century without making their associates.
