Boycottal calls for products and other anti-company social media campaigns were strong enough for companies to respond, especially as platforms have a way to enhance customer disappointment. This was certainly happening last year with Bud Light, who even now failed to regain his market share.

As #teslatakedown continues to gain attraction – Targeting Tesla Elon Musk’s chief executive and causing the company to see the 15% drop in the company’s stock last week – President Donald Trump and his allies responded by suggesting that protesters in the company’s exhibition halls could be described as domestic terrorism. Still, this movement shows no sign of momentum loss, with users in the social media describing Cybertruck and other Tesla vehicles as “Swasticars”, referring to Trump’s “Nazi greeting” at Trump’s Rally Inauguration.

A viral image redefined a Propaganda poster of World War II This warned: “When you drive yourself drive with Hitler” to have a calf next to the ghost of the German dictator with the caption “when you drive Tesla with Hitler”.

Reaction

Musk is not a stranger to the dispute, but this reaction to his efforts to significantly reduce the federal government as the head of the “government’s efficiency” has met with reactions that will probably not be removed soon. Every action he does is encountered with an equal reaction to the internet, often with the hashtag.

“Elon Musk has become a trademark for himself – a polarized as he is strong, while Tesla was once synonymous with innovation, today the brand’s narrative is increasingly shaped by Musk’s personal actions and statements,” explained Angeli Gianchandani, auxiliary trainer Marketing. “The recent wave of an anti-emotion of emotion emphasizes the dangers of the interaction of corporate identity very closely with a person, especially the one who thrives in disorders.”

Those who criticize Musk take the social media to speak against him and the Tesla brand, many times on the platform he own!

“Some users have gone until the sale or negotiation of Tesla vehicles that have possessed and published on social media about their decision to sell on the basis of Musk’s behavior,” said Dr. Julianna Kirschner, a lecturer at the School of Communication and Journalism of Annenberg at the University of South California.

Will Musk close the calls?

Anti-Tesla feeling has gained attraction, but it could be silent on X if Musk-with Absolutist’s free speech-decided he had enough. However, it seems that Musk also has a strong ally in the federal government.

“There will be a lot of pressure on the social media by the administration to cover it up, so that it will not spread,” said Rob Enderle Technology Industrialist analyst.

“Elon Musk may not ban X’s criticism, but he could limit his range through the platform algorithm, as he did before to check the narratives,” Gianchandani added.

However, mute the scale disagreement could be reversed, draw even more attention and enhance the idea that Tesla and Musk on this issue cannot handle criticism, he added.

This may not help in the short term and would certainly not be good for the brand.

“Today, consumers are interested in more than the product, they are affecting corporate values, leadership behavior and cultural alignment,” Gianchandani continued. “This means that the dispute is just as important as innovation. His influence has helped to build Tesla in a dominant power, but now it is a double -sided sword, as some consumers are removed from the brand because of his polarizing behavior.

Mute of the opposition

Even if Musk attempts to close messages in x – and the probability he has already is high enough – it will be impossible to silence it entirely.

“The density of the content in X would be difficult to close everything that discourages Tesla,” Kirschner said.

Part of the problem is that Musk’s efforts to smooth out the social media platform may have limited its ability to react now.

“Without staff to handle the moderation efforts of this size, many critical messages have and will continue to slip,” Kirschner added. “The reason for this does not have its roots in the alleged attitude of Musk’s freedom, but in the reality of the mode of operating today. Even with the current AI technology that could be used to mark the positions, the content criticized by Tesla will remain at least enough to see them.”

However, this reality is unlikely to prevent Musk.

“In the past, the content he criticizes for him was more likely to be removed from many other types of positions. However, Musk continues to say that he is a supporter of freedom of speech, but does not mention the boundaries of his position,” Kirschner noted.

Will the other platforms allow to encourage the feeling against Musk?

There may have been a time when opponent platforms would have been happy to see Musk recede. But this is uncertain that is happening now. First, the technological world has reinstated the White House or at least pay the LIP service – but on the other hand, such discussions will surely keep users involved and this may matter more than anything else.

As a result, other large social media platforms such as Meta, Tiktok and Reddit are unlikely to suppress anti-teesla feeling unless they violate their policies.

“Unlike X, which controls the Musk, these platforms aim to appear neutral.” He said, the silence of protests often discover, nourishing more reaction and eroding consumer confidence, if Tesla was considered to be affecting the censorship of social media.

In addition, Meta is already dealing with their own issues after abolishing events control measures, with users publishing false information about Mark Zuckerberg to test the boundaries.

“Some of these contents remain on Meta platforms, but it is not clear how much of these positions have been removed or somehow measured,” Kirschner said.

This may simply not be the hill to die for most platforms.

“Obviously, Musk may close it on X, but Facebook is under investigation so that it can be used as a threat to affect their behavior,” Enderle added. “But I doubt it will work because people will shift to platforms that do not handle and are likely to get even more angry if they see someone handling these services.
