“Secret Level” is a new video game anthology series released in December.
In a new video game anthology series called Secret Levelit seems that the Shielded core the franchise will get its own installment this December.
Administered by Blur Studiowho also worked Love, Death & Robotsand released through Prime Video, the upcoming video game anthology series Secret Level will have an interesting roster of titles.
With these titles of his Shielded core, Concord, Crossfire, Dungeons & Dragons, Exodus, Honor of Kings, Mega Man, New World: Aeternum, Pac-Man, Sifu, Spelunky, The Outer Worlds, Unreal Tournament and Warhammer 40,000. Additionally, other PlayStation games will be included in the series.
Overall, it’s an interesting mix of different qualities, some big and some small. With others, such as Shielded corebeing completely unexpected.
From the new trailer (shown below), it looks like the Shielded core The section will have a mechanism that looks closer to what we saw Shielded V core and Armored Core Verdict Day. So a bit smaller and more industrial. Additionally, the pilot looks to potentially be portrayed by none other than Keanu Reeves.
My guess is that the story will be its own and not related to any precedent Shielded core game, as the mecha designs already look new. It’s also not typical to see the pilots inside Shielded core games, so it makes sense that this would be more of a narrative approach than anything directly connected to it Shielded core saga.
This will also mark the first time that the Shielded core The series will be animated, just like the previous one Fort Tower Song The anime was canceled a decade ago.
It’s also probably the best way to test the waters and gauge interest in whether the Shielded core The series can now support something like an anime. Instead of doing a brand new exclusive show, just do a small clip on another series and see how it’s received.
Considering all the major video game adaptation flops in Hollywood over the past few years, and yes, the recent Borderlands The film is a great example of this, going the anthology route hopefully means there are fewer problems in any given segment.
In any case, after its solid sales Armored core VIand the subsequent merchandising push, it seems like the Shielded core the franchise may finally be coming into its own. As someone who is play and finish each Shielded core gamethis is all a bit strange but welcome.
Secret Level will be released via Prime Video on December 10th.
