Whether you work from home or in the office, a comfortable headset that ensures you can hear clearly on phone calls and video meetings is a must. Jabra hopes its new Evolve3 75 and 85 headsets will match.

JABRA

Let’s talk about headphones. Yes, I know it might be a bit of a dry topic, but the type of headset you use at work is about to change in a big way, and it’s all thanks to the rise of artificial intelligence. At least, that’s the view Jabrathe Danish company behind some of the most advanced corporate headsets on the market.

Today Jabra announced its new flagship Jabra Evolve3 Series a foldable and compact range of headphones in two variants: the 75 and 85. The Evolve3 85 headphones are designed for ultimate focus, while the Evolve3 75 is an on-ear model designed for lighter use and where greater environmental awareness is required. Jabra claims both models are the most compact and lightweight designs in their class, setting new standards for comfort and portability.

As more of us return to the office and work in a hybrid fashion, the need for a high-quality headset is essential when making Zoom and Teams calls. However, headsets are increasingly used when we interact with our computers using artificial intelligence assistants such as Microsoft Copilot or dictation software such as Wispr Flow.

The Jabra Evolve3 85 are compact and foldable. They don’t have a boom microphone thanks to JabraClear technology.

Main pain point

Poor sound quality remains one of the main concerns of today’s professionals. According to Jabra research, 99% of knowledge workers say poor audio quality affects online meetings and call quality. It ranks as the number one pain point in using headphones.

But despite this, around 46% of knowledge workers still use inexpensive consumer headsets for everyday tasks, but their headsets often lack the clarity, comfort and compatibility needed for professional communication. Jabra’s Evolve3 series aims to address these challenges by providing clear speech in any environment and comfortable fit throughout the day.

AI applications also demand a lot from a headset because they must present clear speech and filter out unwanted noise so that commands are heard the first time, every time. No one wants to have to constantly repeat themselves on a computer. This hardly boosts productivity.

Lower levels of fatigue

The human brain is an incredible piece of technology. Even if the sound isn’t clear, the brain can shift gears and start processing the sound faster to fill in the gaps or filter out any distortion or background noise. However, all that brain power comes at a price in the form of increased fatigue.

The Evolve3 75 is an on-ear headphone design for the corporate space.

JABRA

For example, have you ever noticed how tired or sleepy you can feel after a long video call? This is often because your brain needs more work to decode the sound and understand what you’re hearing. Also, our brains aren’t used to hearing sounds that seem to be inside our heads, so it takes more processing power to make sense of things when they’re not coming through a speaker or another human.

Now Jabra has developed a new class of enterprise headsets that can address these issues by providing the clearest possible sound quality with the ability to filter out the ambient noise of an open-plan office or a busy coffee shop. For the first time, Jabra has also developed sidetone with ANC.

Sidetone is when the audio signal from the microphone that picks up your voice is fed into your ear so you can literally hear yourself speaking during a call and not end up shouting. Some enterprise headsets offer sidetone, but few, if any, have sidetone with ANC. This is what Jabra has achieved with the Evolve3 series, and it should translate to less brain fog and improved concentration levels.

In addition to the side tone, the new headphones also include other innovations, such as Jabra’s open spatial sound, which can be used with calls. This means that the sound you hear sounds like it’s in the room. It gives the brain a helping hand with its workload by making the sound more natural and conversational.

Many of us use artificial intelligence at work, and for it to work properly and effectively, the headsets we use must be able to isolate voices and present them clearly.

JABRA

No More Boom

The Jabra Evolve3 series is unusual in that both variants lack a microphone. Jabra’s research found that many people don’t particularly like the boom mic, but it has always been necessary to get the best sound quality with a headset.

With the Evolve 3, Jabra pulled out all the stops and created a boomless headset that was clean enough to access AI and added real-time adaptive noise cancellation. The design is specifically designed to meet the needs of today’s hybrid professionals and give them something to listen to when they’re not working.

The Evolve3 85 over-the-ear and Evolve3 75 on-the-ear designs each provide professional-grade voice clarity and are designed for all-day comfort, albeit with a twist of modern Danish design. Some people have to wear their headphones for up to eight hours a day.

Comfortable fit is essential for the business market. Whether you’re switching between meetings, focusing on complex projects, or using your voice to activate GenAI tools, Evolve3 is designed to be worn all day and match the flexibility of the modern work environment.

Don’t like Warm Grey? Then how about beige. The Jabra Evolve3 75 and 85 are offered in both finishes.

Conversations without distractions

The Evolve 3 Series is powered by Jabra’s ClearVoice, a system that uses AI-based deep learning technology and has been trained on more than 60 million real-world sentences to learn how to isolate speech from background noise with a high level of accuracy. The technology is inspired by the way the human brain filters out the noise of a busy room, while borrowing technology used by Jabra’s parent company, GN, in hearing aids.

The deep neural network model processes layers of audio data to distinguish the user’s voice from surrounding noises without the need to use a visible boom arm. The result is clearer calls, no ugly microphone and much less background noise. This AI-based approach works with the hardware and allows for discreet microphone placement while maintaining the highest level of definition.

In real-world environments, Jabra says it can deliver AI-ready performance with more than 9 out of 10 words accurately picked up for AI prompts, helping users complete more tasks, issue more commands or dictate more messages correctly the first time. Voice input can be up to three times faster than typing prompts on a keyboard, making it a practical option for staying productive in mobile or screen-free situations.

Both variants of the Evolve3 series also include Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation that responds in real-time to the environment to adapt to changing sound levels. Unlike most headsets, Jabra says the ANC it’s developed for the Evolve3 75 and 85 continues to block out distractions even when you’re on calls, not just between them.

While the Jabra Evolve3 Series are made for business, they are also suitable for pleasure and are at home playing music or watching a movie.

JABRA

Work and pleasure?

Unlike traditional corporate headsets, the Jabra Evolve3 85 and Jabra Evolve3 75 offer a minimalist design with cleaner lines and are available in a beige or warm gray finish. Jabra says this makes the Evolve3 a true crossover headset that can take users from the office to the home.

The Evolve3 series is certified for use on major UC platforms and features a pre-paired Bluetooth dongle for the highest quality wireless connectivity, as well as security using encrypted audio. The headphones also support BT Native, Bluetooth LE and Auracast for direct connection to laptops and other devices that support these standards.

Another innovation that comes with the launch of the Evolve3 is Jabra’s Plus Management software. Now IT teams can manage Jabra devices remotely, push firmware updates and configure settings through a central dashboard. End users can also use the new Jabra Plus mobile app with its customization options such as equalizer controls for music listening, wind noise reduction and quick firmware updates from their smartphone. A desktop version of the Jabra Plus app will be available later in 2026.

The Evolve3 85 is an over-the-ear design and features a busy light to let colleagues know when you’re on a call.

JABRA

Both new Evolve3 headsets also feature user-replaceable batteries for extended product life and compliance with repair legislation. With up to 25 hours of call time and 120 hours of listening time on a single charge, the Evolve3 85 earphones are durable. There are also wireless charging and fast charging functions that can boost the built-in battery with up to 10 hours of power from just 10 minutes of charging.

Calum MacDougall is president of Jabra and says, “With Jabra Evolve3, we continue our mission to shape the future of professional audio for the hybrid workforce. This series combines industry-leading voice technology, a design people want to wear, and seamless integration with the tools and platforms professionals rely on every day.”
