This season of Diablo 4, Blizzard added a new Uber Boss to the mix, Echo of Andariel, joining her friend Duriel as a late-game campaign villain. Andariel was something of an anti-escalation race in the campaign, but now she’s going to be a lot tougher. But where do you find her? What do you call her?
For starters, you need two new materials:
- Sand-burnt shackles – From Lord Zere
- Pillow dolls – The Beast in the Ice (note here, there are some reports of Dolls not dropping from here. I have also received Dolls from not killing the ice monster, I believe it was a world boss)
Then, after you have 2x of each material, you need to head to the Altar of Anguish located in the Hanged Man’s Hall dungeon, which is located in Kehjistan.
Andariel has a poison nova, Anguish statues that shoot rays that must be killed, fire and lightning, and then a final beam burst with 20% health. So at least, go in with fire and lightning resists max.
As for her booty? Andariel was given the same loot pool as her friend Duriel, which includes his collection of Uber Uniques.
Uber Unique:
- Tyrael’s Might (All Classes) – Chest Armor
- Ahavarion, Spear of Lycander (Druid/Sorcerer) – Staff
- Andariel’s Visage (All Classes) – Helmet
- Doombringer (Barbarian, Necromancer, Rogue) – One Handed Sword
- Harlequin Crest (All Classes) – Helmet
- Melted Heart of Selig (All Classes) – Amulet
- Ring of Starless Skies (All Classes) – Ring
- Grandfather (Barbarian, Necromancer) – Two-handed sword
Category Unique:
- Barbarian – Azurewrath, Tuskhelm of Joritz the Mighty
- Druid – Tempest Roar, Dolmen Stone
- Necromancer – Black River, Blood Moon Breeches
- Rogue – Cowl of the Nameless, Scoundrel’s Leather
- Sorcerer – Flamescar, Blue Rose
- All Classes – Godslayer Crown, Flickerstep, Tibault’s Will, X’Fal’s Corroded Signet, Soulbrand, Banished Lord’s Talisman
Depending on the build and stage in the game, Andariel can be difficult, but no that hard. I mean, people have been taking a Duriel shot for a long time, and the same can be true here at higher levels. Rather, the most punishing content in the game in Season 4 is now pushing into the higher levels of The Pit, so Andariel isn’t really public enemy number one at this point, just a neat addition.
Good luck with your hardware and unique hunts, and say hi for me, I’m busy at The Pit for now.
