Google’s Pixel 10 design has been revealed in an early leak

It might not be expected to arrive until July 2025 at the earliest, but eight months before a potential launch, we’ve got our first look at the Pixel 10’s possible design.

This close look at the exterior features comes from the well-known leak industry Sonny Dixon. In his latest post on X (neé Twitter), he shares photos of a proposed case for the Pixel 10. These cases will be built around the “blank” versions of the handset.

Typically made of aluminum, these blanks are provided to accessory manufacturers so they can work with hardware that has the correct placement of various buttons, sliders, ports, cameras and displays without accessing a finished product. As third-party manufacturers design peripherals, they are provided relatively early in the production phase.

Thanks to the sharp angle of the images, the only discernible edge element is at the base of the unit with what appears to be the cutout for the USB-C charging and connectivity cable. Given that i where the Pixel series has traditionally placed the USB port, this is no surprise.

Nor should it come as a surprise that Google is keeping the camera line. This arrived with the Pixel 6 and, aside from the physical demands of a smartphone camera, the horizontal line across the width of the back offered a unique and easily recognizable style to the Pixel family. This was tweaked with the Pixel 9, reducing the width of the bar by sculpting curved edges instead of falling flush with the device.

This case suggests that the Pixel 10 will continue that rounded camera line, so it’s safe to assume that the hypothetically named Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL will follow the same design scheme.

The current Pixel 9 family was announced in mid-August 2024. A similar timeframe for the Pixel 10 family wouldn’t be unreasonable. Before then, there’s the small matter of the Pixel 9a, a mid-range variant of today’s devices. Google’s I/O Developer Conference is a possible launch event, which will coincide with the launch of the Pixel 8a in early May.
