Following Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 6 sale, Google has followed suit with a new discount for its flagship foldable phone.
The deal applies to UK buyers and knocks £200 ($248) off the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, bringing the final price down to £1,579 ($1,961). This is one of the biggest discounts the Pixel 9 Pro Fold has seen since its launch in August.
Google combined this with improved price trading. As always, trade in valuations in the UK (and across Europe) pale in comparison to US prices
For example, Google UK will pay £157 ($195) for the Pixel 6 Pro, while the US Google Store values it at $360 for the exact same device. Below are some more prices in both areas.
- Google Pixel 5 UK price: £114 ($141), US price: $210
- Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra UK price: £116 ($144), US price: $275
However, there are some outliers. Google UK will part with £383 ($475) for the Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max, however, the US store only values the same handset at $360.
Despite the variance in trades, this is still a good discount. Google offers one year of Google One AI premium cloud storage, three months of YouTube Premium and six months of Fitbit premium.
Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold for free
It’s worth noting that if you pay for the Google One AI premium 2TB, you’ll get Fitbit and Nest Aware as part of the package. You should qualify for both after your Google One free trial ends and you start paying for the service. To be sure, put a note in your calendar after your free trial ends and double check that you’re on the right Google One plan. Google, however, is still disappointingly yet to drop YouTube Premium as part of the package.
Elsewhere, the entry-level Pixel 9 has been slashed by £150 ($186), bringing the price down to £649 ($806). This only comes with six months of Google One Premium 2TB. The Pixel Watch 3 is also £70 ($86) cheaper, while the Pixel Buds 2 are £30 ($37) off.
The Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL aren’t included in the sale, though I suspect Google will launch a big deal closer to when Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Ultra launches later this month. Hit the follow button below for the latest news on smartphone deals.
