The Chestnut Man: Hide and Seek
Netflix
Once again, we spend the week wondering what to watch when we get home from work or school. There are many options, too many, in fact, but if you want to go with what is most recommended by critics and often the public, there are four Shows with 100% Rotten Tomatoes which you would be wise to check.
The Chestnut Man: Hide and Seek
Netflix
The Chestnut Man: Hide and Seek (Netflix – 100% review score) – The murder mystery returns after five years, thanks to a newly released book full of follow-up footage. Central detectives return to investigate the disappearance of a single mother, along with a series of murders connected to an earlier cold case. This time, the killer uses cyberstalking as a tool. Hide and seekthe second season has a 100% score, but so does the first season, so check that out too, even if it’s not absolutely necessary to watch.
The Dark Wizard (HBO Max – 100% critic rating) – The four-episode, four-hour series chronicles the life and death of dan potterfamous climber, BASE jumper and high-wire walker who died in a wingsuit accident in 2015. The documentary, in addition to this 100% rating, has a shockingly high 8.6/10 on IMDB, which in the context of this site, is a stellar achievement.
Rivals season 2 (Hulu/Disney Plus – 100% critic rating) – After a year and a half hiatus, the period dramedy returns this coming weekend, which is adapted from a 1988 novel by Jilly Cooper. The series is about a rivalry in the British broadcast space of the 80s, which may seem like an unusual subject for a show, but combined with the certified fresh score of season 1 of 95% and the audience score of 90%, yes, this is one not to be missed. If that’s not enough of an incentive, it also stars former Doctor Who David Tennant.
The devil may cry season 2 (Netflix – 100% review score) – The anime adaptation of the acclaimed video game series returns for another season and has stellar numbers similar to the first and on par with blockbusters like Arcane, Castlevania and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. Some fans of the game say it strays from the lore a little too much, but the uninitiated say it’s not bad to get on board even with limited knowledge.
From season 4 (MGM+/Amazon – 100% Review Score) – I will be recommending this show until the season is over as it is the best horror show on TV and one of the best of all time with a 97% board rating as an average over four seasons with the last two being perfect 100%s. Protagonist OF THE LOST Harold Perrineau, From channels this island series a bit with its boundless mysteries, but arguably more imminent answers for a town no one can leave, haunted nightly by grinning monsters.
