Both fighters are undefeated, but not all invalid files are created equally. Shields is the best fighter of the Women’s boxing pound-Libra, while Perkins is a 42-year-old with five matches that was absolutely unknown before signing the data for the data to be a one-sided Beatdown from Shields.

Perkins defeated Christianne Fahey through a unanimous decision in six rounds at the Undercard of Shields’ TKO victory over Vanessa Lepage-Joanisse in July 2024 in Detroit.
As it is, Shields has become the kind of attraction that always pays attention – no matter who is struggling. Some would like to see Shields descend from 175 pounds in a lower weight category where they would be in the range of some of the other big names in women’s boxing.
If it doesn’t, the shields are probably not going to get a competitive race in heavyweight because the pickings are so thin. Very few of the leading female boxers compete in sections higher than Welterweight.
Shields talked about the fight against MVP Promotions fighter and former world champion Shadasia Green. This race would create a buzz, though the green was ousted by the franchón-dezurn crews in December 2023.
Green bounced two wins in a row, including a victory with the division of the decision over Melinda Watpool in November 2024 at Jake Paul against Mike Tyson Undercard. Still, the shields would be a big favorite in this race as well.

At this stage of Shields’ career, it would probably be only incentive to go down if the matchup and money were right. We will see if Natasha Jonas or Mikaela Mayer want to move up to fight the shields. These matches could bring a fixed payday.
At present, they should be installed for shields against Perkins. Perhaps Perkins will provide better performance than expected. Even if it doesn’t, Shields’s homecoming will be a big night for boxing and boxing of women.
