Opposition leader Maria Corina Machado greets supporters from the back of a truck during a campaign … more rally.

Maria Corina Machado has been persecuted by those who usurp the Venezuelan government, criticized by associates as adopting a roasted land policy against the corrupt regime and was accused of being soft and false than those who preferred a crusader. Despite the criticism of all sides, Maria Corina, as she prefers to be called upon, continues to promote as a true leader of those who fight for the freedoms of Venezuela.

Let me start by giving some explanations about its critics, starting with the current government. Nicolas Maduro lost the election of July 28, 2024 with more than two to one margin for Machado’s party candidate. Maduro and his acolytes are usurpers. They stole the election. Just a few days ago, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio observed: “Maduro is not the Venezuelan president, nor is his status of a legitimate government. Maduro is the leader of the Sun Cartel, a drug that has taken control of a country.”

I have met Maria Korina since she entered politics. In 2002, he was one of the founders of Sumate, a NGO of political society. He was for the first time in Congress in 2010. I was privileged to be with Ms Machado in 2014, the day he landed in Lima, Peru and notified that if he returned to Caracas, he could not leave Venezuela’s beloved. He returned and fought the regime and avoids imprisonment since then.

“Maduro is not the president of Venezuela, nor is his status … more The Marco Rubio state did not make words of its views on Venezuela.

In his book The collapse of Venezuela: Capsili of Political Land and Economic Decline, 2012-2020; Francisco Rodríguez, a professor at the University of Denver with personal and family roots in Venezuela, puts part of the responsibility for the collapse of Venezuela in the opposition to the Chavez-Manturo regime. Rodríguez has a good administration of financial data, but implies that Venezuela’s economic situation would be much better if the opposition had not promoted sanctions. He says the opposition has mistreated the conflict and prompted a regime that could be open in collaboration with a full observation stance. However, I have worked with the Venezueles for over four decades and have been a close fan of their condition. It was clear from the beginning that Chávez and Maduro never intended to abandon power and would not give any compromise to keep it.

Finally, believe it or not, Machado has been criticized for not hard enough for chávez and Maduro. Eduardo Bittar, a Venezuelan -based Venezuelan activist, considers himself as an authentic opposition and includes Machado as part of a “fantastic” opposition aligned with Cavism. Machado’s allies, however, pay little attention to Bittar. In social media, Machado has 6.2 million fans in X and 8.6 million on Instagram. Bittar, on the other hand, has 117K in X and 48K on Instagram. Why bother? Because despite clear messages from secretary Rubio and other members of the Trump administration to support Machado, Bittar has managed to gain the confidence of the major Trump allies such as the Bolsonaro family and the top members of CPAC. Eduardo Bittar is particularly critical of María Corina Machado and many in the dominant opposition, which he points out “contrast. “Some of the Bittar accusations, such as Machado, Machado voted against the legalization of the population possession (assumed that the 13 million non -registered weapons will not leave Madurate. Helping to divide the very necessary internal and external support required for a successful business.

Yesterday, in a video With the aim of refreshing memories of the electoral theft of July 28, 2024, Machado was very immediate. As he included the army and the police, it sounded like a call in arms. For her followers, she asked them to organize, to exert strategic pressure and to denounce perseverance, focus and discipline.

Basic pillars of Machado’s financial proposal
Last month, Machado’s team presented a 15 -year march map that promotes the possible wealth creation that could be achieved if the current regime falls. The estimation is that under a democratic government, by dividing power and the rule of law, the liberation of Venezuelan could lead to $ 1.7 trillion in worldwide wealth creation.

However, for this to happen, Venezueles will need a new framework for rebuilding if and when Venezuela is liberated by the current regime. For this reason, Machado’s proposal has its priorities. It emphasizes the importance of institutional reform and the rule of law, guaranteeing property rights, contract enforcement and regulatory stability.

Machado is committed to liberating the market and privatization of oil industry and other state -owned businesses. It proposes a review with the IMF, the World Bank and the Interamerican Development Bank. This has its dangers, but it is similar to what Javier Milei has done in Argentina. Given the decades of neglect, waste and corruption, and given the abundant natural door of Venezuela, the country could see a major leap in GDP in order to adopt modern technologies to exploit the largest oil reserves in the world, large reserves, large reserves, large reserves. Machado proposes differentiation in 12 strategic areas, such as energy, mining, agriculture, tourism, technology, health care and educational infrastructure.

The goals of the plan are very realistic. For example, it proposes to boost raw production from below 1 million barrels a day to about 4-4.7 million barrels a day over 15 years, creating about $ 420 billion in revenue from the oil sector. The goal of GDP growth from about $ 100 billion today to $ 350 billion is also feasible, especially if a new government gains credibility in promoting fiscal and monetary discipline. Venezuelan’s primary think tank promoting financial freedom, Cedice Libertad, has mapped Venezuela’s economy and her studies confirm the feasibility of the proposal.

Machado frames the plan as a transformation of Venezuela from the “American criminal hub” into “energy and economic hub”. For the US, however, a restored Venezuelan has more than economic importance. Joseph Humire – Founder of Center for safe free society And today’s Deputy Director at Trump’s Pentagon – recently spoke of this result in a gathering of politics. Even if Venezuela is growing in the potential expected from the proposal in fifteen years, its GDP would be much lower than the US average state. For Humire, a stable ally of Venezuelan freedom fighters, Venezuela is much more important, almost necessary, for us long -term national security. The transition to a government led by Maria Corina Machado would do a lot of peace in America and the protection of freedoms in the United States.
