TowerNYT ‘STRANDS’ Tips, Spangram and answers for Wednesday 23 AprilWith Paul tassi

Strands has reversed yesterday’s puzzle on his head and has done something that is the polar opposite, a trick that we do not often see.

How to play strands

The New York Times puzzle strands is a game in classic word search. He’s in Beta for now, which means he’ll only get stuck if enough people play every day.

There is a new game legs to play everyday. The game will present you six to eight letters. The goal is to find a group of words that have something in common and you will have an indication of what this issue is. When you find a theme word, it will remain high in blue.

You should also find a special word called Spangram. This tells you what words have. Spangram connects two opposing aspects of the Board of Directors. While the words will not be a correct name, Spangram can be a right name. When you find the spangram, it will remain marked in yellow.

Warning: You should be on your toes.

“Some topics are filled in empty phrases. They may also be steps in a process, objects that all belong to the same category, synonymous or unanimously,” the New York Times notes. “Just as it changes the difficulty of Wordle puzzles within a week, [Wordle and Strands editor Tracy]

What is today’s strands?

The New York hint is the first and then I will do a separate one to help you.

Coarse

And mine is:

Scratch

This should be enough to get started.

What are the answers of today’s clones?

Spangram will be mentioned first and then be a larger list of real answers. Spangram is:

Rough

And here he is on the board:

Strand

Cloud

The answers are:

  • BURLAP
  • PUMICE
  • BARK
  • ROPE
  • Saliva
  • SANDPAPER

Strand

Cloud

So, as I said earlier, this is the opposite of yesterday’s “vague” puzzle with the opposite type of material. It is strange, the spangram here feels like the suggestion and the suggestion feels as if it should be the spangram. Some of them focus on self-care such as pumice stone and loofahs, the rest are just general elbows, but you might have chosen dozens of other options for it.
